Kelly bars

Kelly bars

Kelly bars are telescopic shafts that transfer to the drilling tools the rotating torque and crowd pressure made by the drilling machine.

Kelly bars manufactured by METALMET have up to 5 tubular sections made of high tensile steel to maximize strength (consequently, the long-life of the product) and minimize weight (consequently, the wear and tear of the machine).

METALMET manufactures friction and interlocking type Kelly bars for a depth up to 100 m and a torque transfer capacity up to 480 kNm, a standardized drive stub to connect any kind of drilling tools and spring shock absorbers to reduce noise and vibrations.

METALMET can guarantee the quality of welds and reliability of Kelly bars with certifications of magnetoscopic controls made by partner companies.
